Dr. Tarashansky, NY Rhinoplasty's chief surgeon, is a board certified plastic surgeon specializing in the aesthetic and functional nasal surgery.

Dr. Tarashansky is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgery- an elite group of the plastic surgeons focusing on the facial procedures. After extensive training as a facial surgeon, he decided to enhance the level of his expertise even further by sub-specializing predominantly on the rhinoplasty.

His educational background as an otolaryngologist, head and neck surgeon as well as an advanced fellowship training as an aesthetic face specialist allow combining of deep understanding of the functional and aesthetic aspects of nasal surgery.

Education, Training & Current Work
Dr. Tarashansky’s passion for the facial and even more so for the nasal surgery was born at the age of 14. As a part of High School premedical program he was exposed to the department of Otolaryngology of the regional medical center and was intrigued and captivated by the intricacy of the surgery. This early experience was followed by almost four years of the medical study at the Medical Institution in Russia.

His medical degree was completed in New York after relocating to the USA. The final commitment to the field was consolidated by completion a residency in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in New York, and advanced training in facial plastic surgery as a fellow of American Academy of Facial and Reconstructive Surgery in Alabama under mentorship of the world renowned facial plastic surgeon, E. Gaylon McCollough

Dr. Tarashansky is a board certified Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, as well as in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgery.
​
He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and a fellow of American College of Surgeons.
​
He combines the passion for the conscious, individualized patient care in the private practice setting with transferring his expertise to the young surgeons as instructor at Long Island Jewish Hospital and as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the State University of New York.
​
He is on staff at Northwell University Hospital at Long Island, University Hospital at Syosset, Long Island Jewish Hospital/Schneider’s Childrens Hospital, Brooklyn and Northport VA Centers, and Melville Surgery Center.
